Secret 7 takes 7 tracks from 7 of the best-known musicians around and presses each track 100 times to 7” vinyl. They invite designers from around the world to interpret the tracks in their own style. 700 sleeves are exhibited and then sold for £50 a piece. You don’t know who created the sleeve, or even which song it’s for, until you have purchase the sleeve, of which the money is donated to Amnesty International UK.
I was a selected artist for Secret 7 2016. My album design was for Tame Impala 'The Less I Know The Better'.
It's a photograph of crystallised sugar through a polarised microscope. The distortion of something we all crave captures the sense of unattainable love. The cover was printed using a lenticular process and features 2 images to give the distortion.
